Admissions Policy
Fort Myers Christian School is open to all qualified students regardless of race, color, national or ethnic origin. It does not discriminate in the administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarships, financial aid, or any other school administered programs. The Admissions Committee evaluates applicants on the basis of the application, the candidate’s transcripts, teacher recommendations, character and educational recommendations, disciplinary profile, educational history, academic assessment, and an interview with our Head of School. All students must be in good academic and behavioral standing at their last educational institution and eligible to return to school. We also require that at least one member of the student’s immediate family is a born again believer as stated in John 3:3. Here is a link to Our Statement of Faith. In considering applicants, the Admissions Committee analyze a number of factors to determine a student’s fit for our program, which will include (but are not limited to) a student’s academic strengths, former school record, unique talents, desire to learn, and faith background. Since FMCS is not adequately prepared to meet the needs of every student who applies, our admissions procedures are designed to help both the school and the parents make the best possible decision for the education of their child. Submission of an application and fee does not guarantee admission. Fort Myers Christian School Admission Committee reserves the right to deny admission to any student on the basis of the admission criteria outlined above or if the committee does not believe the school can adequately serve the needs of the student. All student application and assessment records will remain confidential and property of Fort Myers Christian School and will not be released to applicants. All admission decisions are final. Due to the competitive nature of the admissions process, prospective families are encouraged to visit our school in advance to application and to apply early.
