Step by Step Admissions Process
All applicants must submit supplemental documents to complete their application. This will include a student birth certificate; Student Physical; Florida Immunization Record (or exemption); VPK Voucher (if relevant); recent report card; Teacher Recommendation; and 504/IEP (if relevant.) An applicant will not be considered for admission until all supplemental application documents have been received.
All applicants must complete a grade specific entrance test that will be coordinated by our admissions team upon completion of the student application.
All qualified applicants will be given an opportunity to meet with our Head of School to complete an interview with their families. Interviews will be coordinated by our admissions team upon completion of the student application and entrance test.
Applicants that are eligible for admission will be offered enrollment via an electronic enrollment packet. All enrollment documents must be completed and submitted electronically with a non-refundable $400 registration. Once a student has completed their enrollment packet with payment, they are officially enrolled at FMCS!
Fort Myers Christian School is open to all qualified students regardless of race, color, national or ethnic origin. It does not discriminate in the administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarships, financial aid, or any other school administered programs. The Admissions Committee evaluates applicants on the basis of the application, the candidate’s transcripts, teacher recommendations, character and educational recommendations, disciplinary profile, interview with our Head of School, and an academic assessment. All students must be in good academic and behavioral standing at their last educational institution and eligible to return to school. We also require that at least one member of the student’s immediate family is a born again believer as stated in John 3:3. Here is a link to Our Statement of Faith. In considering applicants, the Admissions Committee analyze a number of factors to determine a student’s fit for our program, which will include a student’s academic strengths, former school record, unique talents, desire to learn, and faith background. Since FMCS is not adequately prepared to meet the needs of every student who applies, our admissions procedures are designed to help both the school and the parents make the best possible decision for the education of their child. Due to the competitive nature of the admissions process, prospective families are encouraged to visit our school in advance to application and to apply early.
